A native of Houma, Chantel  attended Nicholls State University in Thibodaux where she earned her Bachelor of Science  degree in Nursing and later earned her graduate degree from LSU.  Her background in Family practice and internal medicine is a bonus for Dr. Peters’ cosmetic and reconstructive patients. “This is a very different atmosphere.  Lots of things attracted me to aesthetic surgery.  For patients who have had extreme weight loss or breast cancer, the cosmetic surgery that is performed to these patients is really life changing.  And to be a part of that is very gratifying as a provider.”  Aside from assisting Dr. Peters, Chantel  will also be doing post operative care,  facial injectables, and  laser therapy.  Chantel  sees her role as facilitating a patient’s total recovery.  “Making people feel cared for with a lot of guidance and emotional support is important.  To see someone’s self image, self esteem and confidence improve is a wonderful feeling.”   Chantel takes her lead from Dr. Peters so as to be an extension of him.   “He is always very respectful and really listens.  Patients leave knowing it is all about them”.
